RELATED FAQ

- Q: How long can I wear a tampon?

- A: When using tampons, it's important to choose the lowest absorbency necessary for your menstrual flow. And because the amount of flow varies from day to day, it's likely that you will need to use different absorbencies on different days of your period. Selecting the right absorbency comes with experience, but as a guide, if a tampon absorbs as much as it can and has to be changed before 4 hours, then you may want to try a higher absorbency. On the other hand, if you remove a tampon and after 4-8 hours white fiber is still showing, you should choose a lower absorbency.

The applicator malfunctions

While the tampon inside the applicator is a good one, it's not much use if the applicator often (at least 50% of the time) fails to work properly and the tampon is not properly inserted. I've wasted so many tampons because the applicator breaks/malfunctions. I will never buy these tampons again because they are so so very wasteful and annoying. I'm warning all my friends against them too. They are so bad I cannot believe that any testing pre launch didn't find this flaw.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Painful

The most uncomfortable tampons I have ever used actually painful to have in! How they pride themselves on comfort I do not know. After speaking with friends they agreed with me and would not use again.

Worst tampons I've bought in a while

These look pretty and yes they are very discreet, however, they just don't do the job. I've been using tampax for many years and this is the worst version I've ever purchased. I've been in work an hour and I already need to change it. That does not happen with any of the others. Unfortunately, as I bought them on a deal, I've got two boxes to get through, but given how quickly they need to be changed, I should get through them pretty quickly...

Not good

Wasted half of the pack as the application failed, often went through 2 or 3 tampons before successfully being able to insert one. Also not the smoothest applicator which again caused discomfort. Really disappointed with these tampons, I won't be getting them again. I've used tampax for years and never had any trouble or complaints until I tried out these ones. I'll be sticking with my usual compact and pearl from now on

Worse tampon I have ever used

I have used other compack tampons before and they have been perfectly fine and I had no problems. I have even used the normal Tampax Pearl application tampons and they have been great. I purchased the compak on price compared to the normal Pearl application tampons and now wish I hadn't. The first tampon I used stayed in the applicator as the plunger was not long enough to push the tampon out. The tampons that I have been able to use have been very uncomfortable and I will not be finishing the pack. What a waste of money. These have been the worse tampons I have ever used. It is good to read that I am not the only person whose thinks this.

USELESS APPLICATOR

The applicator doesn't work. Had some very awkward moments where I used all the tampons I had on me by binning them because the applicator failed. The extending bit of the applicator should click into place to be long enough to eject the tampon from the applicator but the double-extending bit didn't work so there was nothing to push the tampon out of the applicator. When you withdraw the applicator the tampon comes with it. Uncomfortable and very distressing, not to mention costly. AVOID THESE TAMPONS!! I'll stick to the regular compak ones.
