RELATED FAQ

- Q: How long can I wear a tampon?

- A: When using tampons, it's important to choose the lowest absorbency necessary for your menstrual flow. And because the amount of flow varies from day to day, it's likely that you will need to use different absorbencies on different days of your period. Selecting the right absorbency comes with experience, but as a guide, if a tampon absorbs as much as it can and has to be changed before 4 hours, then you may want to try a higher absorbency. On the other hand, if you remove a tampon and after 4-8 hours white fibre is still showing, you should choose a lower absorbency.

Tampon applicator

Numerous attempts to successfully insert tampon with the applicator. Not the most hygienic for this reason.

Terrible Design

Having happily used applicator tampax for years i thought id give the new Compak Pearl a go.I wish i hadn't bothered! The applicator failed on EVERY tampon which was hugely annoying!I took the second box back and will be searching for an alternative now. Tampax....listen to your customers and ditch or fix this product...it's awful!

No, I do not recommend this product.

Fails to insert

As per other reviews the insertion mechanism is an absolute shambles. I cannot believe Tampax have got away with this fail of a product for so long. Every now and again I forget how terrible these tampons are and give them another try. Well, I may as well buy non applicator own brand for less than half the price, not to mention the impact on the environment of throwing away the plastic applicator which fails to insert every time. The applicator just pushes in on itself and does not work at all, which should be a basic feature of the product. Awful.

USELESS APPLICATOR

The applicator doesn't work. Had some very awkward moments where I used all the tampons I had on me by binning them because the applicator failed. The extending bit of the applicator should click into place to be long enough to eject the tampon from the applicator but the double-extending bit didn't work so there was nothing to push the tampon out of the applicator. When you withdraw the applicator the tampon comes with it. Uncomfortable and very distressing, not to mention costly. AVOID THESE TAMPONS!! I'll stick to the regular compak ones.

No, I do not recommend this product.

applicator is the worst i have ever used

tampax is good but the applicator is the worst i have ever used. doesnt click, doesnt push the tampax out just klings to it for dear life. i have ended up removing the tampax from the applicator and going with old school insertion. Not hygenic as i would prefer but at least gets the job done. not a happy customer at all

Bad Design

I only bought these as the shop had none of the normal Compak ones. I certainly won't be buying them again, the applicators don't stay extended after clicking into place. Very disappointed!
