Chocolate and fizzy drinks cause acne.FACT:
If only skincare was that simple. The truth is that your hormones cause acne. But that doesn’t mean you can get away with eating tons of junk food!MYTH #2:
Diet pills are good diet plans for weight loss.FACT:
Diet pills only work while you're taking them — and many have side effects. Diet plans during adolescence can actually cause damage to your body and your mind. Your best bet is a healthy, balanced diet and some good, fun fitness. MYTH #3:
If you exercise, you can eat anything you want and you won’t gain weight.FACT:
Erm ... no. If you’re filling up on chips, chocolate and pizza, you’re going to put on weight, regardless of whether you’re exercising regularly or not. You should keep your teen nutrition healthy, with the right amount of protein, fat and carbs and loads of fruit and vegetables.MYTH #4:
Once you have a “healthy base tan,” you don’t need sunscreen. FACT:
We know you want to show off your golden glow, but seriously, you should always wear sunscreen with an SPF (sun protection factor) of at least 15. Don’t worry about wasted sunshine – you’ll still get a tan even if you wear protection.
